Instead of incineration, landfill, or aggregate in other materials, Essence Global reclaims Composite Material from a variety of production and end of life waste streams in order to provide clean, high-quality Composite Material. The recovered Composite Material is then either provided to glass manufacturers to be competitive in price and quality to virgin Composite mined from silica or upcycled into composite intermediates for a variety of second-generation materials in the automotive, aerospace, marine, or construction industries.
Essence Global started with recycling Composite Material from wind turbine decommissions and repowers, but this is only a fraction of the Composite Material waste stream. Essence Global can provide not only end of life recycle and upcycle processes for turbine blades, but it can also provide Composite Material 3D filament and composite materials that can go back into the next generation of wind turbine blades.
